Work to revitalise the former Torpedo Factory at Sub Base Platypus, North Sydney, has reached an important milestone – the completion of a sheltered public area, opening on Saturday 16 September!

To celebrate, the Harbour Trust will hold free activities at the new Torpedo Factory Precinct between 10am and 3pm. There will be a smoking ceremony, live music, tours, food and more!

Visitors will also enjoy a new vantage point of Neutral Bay and opportunities to engage with the layered story of Sub Base Platypus, formerly the site of a gas works, torpedo factory and submarine base. These include a storytelling space with historical artefacts as well as an original mural that recognises and honours Country.

Visit the Harbour Trust’s website to view the full program. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and catch public transport.
